If Red Then Stop
A puzzle game about fixing a city's traffic. You play an engineer in a Swiss city whose new traffic lights are badly programmed, and residents let you know what they think of your fixes.
How you code
You program traffic lights, barriers and crossings as state machines: each system moves between states, such as red, amber and green, based on timers and events. A manual inside the game explains the approach, which comes from industrial automation. Vehicles and pedestrians then run through your design, and later levels connect several systems that have to work together.
